Founder Sales Lab is a sole trader business based in Sydney, Australia, operated by Matt. This page explains what personal information is collected, why, and what you can ask me to do about it.
What is collected
When you contact me. The contact form collects your name, email address, an optional budget range, and whatever you write in the message. This is used to reply to you and nothing else.
When you buy an audit. Payment is processed by Stripe. Stripe collects your card details and billing information directly. Card numbers never reach this website or any system I control. I receive your name, email address, the amount paid, and the homepage URL you submit so I can carry out the audit.
When you visit the site. Standard analytics through Google Analytics: pages viewed, approximate location by country or city, device and browser type, and how you arrived. This is aggregate traffic data, not an attempt to identify you personally.
Business contact and cold outreach
I sometimes contact business owners directly by email about their website. Where I do, the contact details were published by that business for business purposes, on their own website or in a public professional directory. I do not buy contact lists, I do not scrape personal email addresses, and I do not guess or construct email addresses.
If you would rather not hear from me, reply and say so, or email the address below. I will remove your details and will not contact you again. No confirmation step, no reason needed, and the removal is permanent.
Cookies
This site uses cookies for two things: remembering your display preferences, such as light or dark theme, language and currency, and Google Analytics measurement. You can block or delete cookies in your browser at any time. The site works fine without them.
Who else handles your information
- Stripe, to process payments
- Google Analytics, for site measurement
- Hostinger, which hosts this website
- My email provider, to send and receive email
Each of these has its own privacy policy. I do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to anyone, and I do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
How long it is kept
Enquiries and client correspondence are kept while there is an active or prospective working relationship, and for as long as I need to meet tax and business record obligations. Records relating to a paid audit or build are kept for seven years, in line with Australian record-keeping requirements. Opt-out requests are kept indefinitely, because that is the only way to make sure you are not contacted again.
Your choices
You can ask me to:
- tell you what personal information I hold about you
- correct anything that is wrong
- delete your information, where I am not required to keep it
- stop contacting you
Email the address below and I will action it. I aim to respond within a few business days.
Security
Your information is held in reputable third party services protected by passwords and multi-factor authentication, and this site is served over HTTPS. No system is perfectly secure, and I will not pretend otherwise, but I keep what I hold to the minimum I actually need.
Changes
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted here with a new date at the top.
